It's hard to really say cause the show is about Buffy so they usually have to revolve around her some way. I think Angel's show did good with its back story for Darla since she's part of his storyline.

I agree with Kendra. Both her & faith showed 2 different paths Buffy could have taken. I have a theory about why they didn't keep the character.

1. They didn't want her to maybe over shadow Buffy, since the show is about her. A lot of black fans were disappointed when she was killed off since, the show didn't have a lot of diversity. Kendra could have pulled more black viewers for the show.

Maybe more of a backstory /history on Sunnydale. Why and how was it built on a hellmouth?

I hated Glory & I think the way Jenny's story went was decent since her storyline was more about Angel than Buffy.

Hank. His relationship with Buffy seemed decent in the beginning, so it seemed out-of-character later for him to drop out of her life and not even show up when Joyce died.

Glory - Very likable character like the OP said. I actually liked the little conversations she had with Dawn around that time and would have liked to seen it lead to her character joining the good side some how.

Kendra - I liked her a lot too. Would have been interesting to see her and Faith meet and interact.

Tara - Her death was very important to Willows story but as a fan I still wish it didn't happen, or that she'd at least gotten to make some appearances as a ghost like Joyce did.

Forrest Gate and Graham Miller - I'm a fan of the actors and would have liked to seen their characters progress more.

Drusilla - I actually wouldn't have minded some sort of brief relationship between her and evil Willow but I liked the character in general. I've heard that her story becomes more important in the comics so it would have been great to seen that happen on the show instead.

Harmony - Great comic relief character but I would have liked to seen some more development for her.

Anne Steele - Liked her a lot on both Buffy and Angel.

I totally agree they went from Buffy dad going to pick her up from school for the weekend in season one to her staying at his place the entire Summer with him worried about Buffy discussing her being so distant to completely not caring and abandoning his 12 year old daughter after her mothers death.

Besides Buffy dad Oz is the only other character that I think deserved more episodes and character development.
