And yet Dark Shadows did it in ALL of the incarnations of the series: the 1960s series, the 1990s series, unsure about the Johnny Depp movie as I never cared to watch it.

Also Vampire Diaries did it as well.

So no there is no difficulty to it at all. They'd simply be playing their ancestors.

What does this show have to do with vampires or vampire shows? The thinking behind this question is so out there I'm thinking you must be a troll.

The actors in those shows probably played the characters over hundreds of years because -- wait for it -- they were vampires that live hundreds of years!
