西南一地，全乡以造酒为生，阿纯（林家栋饰）自幼无父，乃一孽子，母刘玉凤因当日受感情创伤而成疯 妇，幸得当地大酒坊“九铺香”当家古世龙（秦沛饰）可怜收留。

世龙身为当家，精明慎密，对人严苛冷漠，擅利用手段，不重视亲情，与其兄古世熊处于敌对关系，时加打压，唯一信任的，只是其妹古瑶（邓萃雯饰）。当世龙四面受敌之际，各人均对酒坊大权虎视眈眈，唯瑶对斗争厌恶，不愿卷入斗争之中，拒绝接管打理，世龙深感无助之际，幸得阿纯、黎顺风（佘诗曼饰）留在身边，尽心尽力的照顾协助。世龙感激之余，亦发觉顺风乃酿酒之材，遂决将当家之位交与顺风。纯、顺风、瑶、桂生等四人关系顿时变得进退入艰。

Country Spirit aka Plain Love III was a television drama series produced by TVB. The series takes place in a winery in China in around 1900-1930. Winemaking, as well as the trials and tribulations of a touching love story between a widow, who is part of a ghost marriage, and her husband's house servant, are the main theme of this series.
