This is a docudrama about the fall of the Romanovs. It is well enough acted and the commentary from the historians is very good. The only fly in the ointment for me was the inclusion of a strange woman claiming to be Anastasia. It was pointless - especially as they are inferring that she is who she claims to be. It has been proved that there were no survivors to the massacre of the Czar and his family. D.N.A. has been found that account for all of them. It was just a needless distraction. It is a very interesting method of teaching history - much more entertaining than the school variety ! I also found it absolutely grating the way they added expressions like "it's spin" (propaganda) and "he's playing you" - it sounded ridiculous in that era.

Yes the part with the woman claiming to be Anastasia was not needed. I liked the rest of it though.
