SPOILERS

First we have a serial killer loose in Norway - he has been there for 20 years and has taken over somebody else's identity. The FBI come to Norway to help the Norwegian police to find him as only the female FBI agent has ever seen him - but silly billy let him go. She is accompanied by a black male investigator - so that is one box ticked. Enter Line - Wisting's journalist daughter - an empowered female - tick box 2 - she seems to have the absolute right to enter a dead man's house simply because she wants to investigate him - she even has a key to his front door. Of course clever reporter is on a parallel track to her father. After sleeping with the black FBI agent she photographs his badge and sends it to her publication - an act of betrayal towards not only him but her father also. She knows that this will let the serial killer know that the FBI are in Norway looking for him. At this point I hoped that the serial killer would kidnap her - and of course he does - because as we all know it is compulsory for all serial killers to target the cops who are after them or members of their family - tick box 3. Having been chloroformed and stuck in the trunk of his car which is stuck in deep snow - serial killer leaves the scene - not sure why - but it's a good thing he did because it enables Line to escape - which she does v-e-r-y-s -l- o- w -l -y - leaving her footprints in the deep snow. She comes across a barn and having lit a handy lantern with a handy match she settles down for a little snooze. It doesn't seem to occur to her that she is only about a quarter of a mile away from the serial killer with her footprints leading directly to her location. In the next episode - Wisting is a hero - but wait a minute - he is being charged with tampering with evidence. Tick box 4. It seems that three cigarette butts were found in the vicinity of a murder - one of them had DNA on it - they arrested a guy who was near the scene at the time and he was subsequently arrested and imprisoned - on the evidence of a cigarette butt? Only now have the police discovered that two of the stubs were a different brand to the third. WHAT? That wasn't immediately apparent at the time? The writing and plotting is so poor to anyone with a brain.
