So a female "investigator" Jan is asked by her mothers dying friend to find out who killed her son years previously - she wants to know who it was before she dies. Off goes Jan to the local police department and is basically fobbed off by the resident female (again) in charge of the cold case - Louise - who is supposed to be a profiler - after about five minutes Jan has amazed the entire department by her brilliant observations and conclusions - they all sit around the table with eyes wide in admiration as she does their jobs for them - so much so that she is asked to stay on as a consultant. It is laughable. No doubt she will discover their identity and be almost killed by the murderer before the show is over - thus leading to a position within the force. Yewchh.
