This 1991 episode has Columbo telling murder suspects that he has been married for 25 years. At first you might think he is making this up just to have something extra to converse with the suspects about. But lo and behold the writers show that it really is the Lt's big 25th. He and a fellow LAPD officer walk away at the ep's end and Columbo again mentions how it is his (Coulmbo's) 25th wedding anniversary. Now, if we go go back to the years 1970-72 (the time frame of the very first Columbo eps) Columbo had then been married for a total of 6 maximum years. I would have thought it was at least 15.

PS Figure only refers to the regularly produced Columbo eps. Not referring to the 1968 Columbo TV film Falk did with suave acting great Gene Barry.
