Part of loving Pop culture, in whatever form, is finding room to both love and hate it. For example there is enough that is good about Voyager but a whole lot more of it that just blows.
As for Mr Plinket, about 30 minutes of his or anyone elses ranting is listenable. Beyond that its snoozeville.
No in facts in only confirms my opinion of what I have seen in clips of the show ,that it is a show under guise of aStar Trek logo trying to display an entire different universe and inhabited by characters that in no way resemble the characters we knew and liked, all because some fake moral entrepeneurs can make a quick buck and have their names on some franchise it is a product of selfish, entitled so called "progressive" thinking talentless frauds.

That also plus the writers of new Trek seem tohave a hard on for secret organisations (section 31/Zhat Vash)and conspiracies without possesing the creativity pull off such a story(leave that to a director like Oliver Stone who has shown to be a master at such type of stories)
Well Oliver Stone did have 30 years of people investigating the JFK asassination to work with. The Picard people have these made up groups that can be inserted to bring in mystery or drama when needed to boost the story up. Kind of a deux ex machina approach, when things get wonky bring in Zhat Vash or Sec 31, to either clear or muddy things up as needed.

Exactly it serves as lifeboat for the writers when they can't even make sense of the stories they write.
BuT NEX complains that NEW TREK shows don't HONOR the OLD TREK SHOWS enough, which is also NOT the case, because SECTION 31 and the other SECRET ROMULAN SOCIETY were also a part of the CANON of the OLDER SHOW called DS9.
Yes Section 31 and the Tal Shiar but in the case of DS 9 these were introduced to bring up a moral dilemma not as an excuse for lazy and uninspired writing.
Which also means PICARD didn't MAKE them UP.
The Zhat Vash was introduced in Picard why would the Romulans who are already very secretive(which the show actually confirms) need another secret organistation? And secretorganisation within another organisation which was never mentioned before which is odd since they claim to exist for centuries. But my guess the producers probably thought hey we can't make another show dealing with secret organisastions and have it about Section 31 since we already used that in STD let's make up another super secret organisation and you know what let's make them all female(and the probably hi fived with each other after they came up with that idea).
Because JULIAN was also RECRUITED to work for SEC 31, and then they also TRICKED him into getting a ROMULAN POLITICIAN EXECUTED or sent to prison for her attempt to help him.
Like I previously mentioned Section 31 was written in DS9 to explore the moral dilemmas a society confronts with a war and when there is a real chance in losing that war because of unsurmountable odds and that in some cases the ends justify the means. Not the serve as an excuse to have a society as a whole adopt it's philosophies which is what new Trek does.
And PICARD helping the DAUGHTERS of DATA due to the way DATA had SAVED his life also makes sense (because DATA wasn't around anymore to be there for them so he could help them himself due to the way he SACRIFICED himself to save the LIFE of PICARD).
Again you gobble down the false narrative of the producers of the show Data did NOT SACRIFICE HIMSELF FOR PICARD(OR AT LEAST NOT PICARD ALONE)HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF TO SAVE THE ENTERPRISE AND IT"S CREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If the writers actually spend some time watching Nemesis they would have known this but hey why believe anyone who as least seen Nemesis 20 times(which is a bare minimum for me watching Star Trek films )
Yet NO ONE seems to REALIZE this or accept that it MAKES perfect sense that PICARD would feel OBLIGATED to HELP THEM due to the SACRIFICE that DATA made for PICARD.
Agian No it isn''t see the above also Picard and Data were NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER THE BEST OF FRIENDS .LA FORGE WAS THE CLOSEST THING TO A FRIEND DATA HAD AND THE PEOPLE CLOSEST TO PICARD WERE BEVERLY AND GUINAN NOT DATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agian a piece of background the writers woulds have known had they actually watched TNG.
Some of you guys are as BLIND as BATS !!!
The one being blind as bat is yourself .Because you keep up ignoring facts that validate our criticism
Aren't you reacting to a thread of which you know is going to be critical about something you like why react to it Maybe you need to give it a rest in stead of posting things on the TOS and TNG boards only to get a reaction out of me while I was actually not reacting anymore it's like antagonising the lion and then comlaining about being bitten. You are a hypocrite Invidia.

BOTH YOU and SISYPHUS need to GIVE IT A REST !!!
FIND yourselves another HOBBY or another different way to spend your time !!!
If you havent watched the show yet how do you know the writers arent the issue lmao
