Nah he and J.J. were more into Star Wars because they found Star Trek too cerebral ,by their own admission(ergo it was too much to comprehend for Kurtzman's peanut size brain).
Just wondering because his version of 7 of 9 is way off
Everthing of his is way off
Nah (sic) you guys are just complaining STP explores Picard more deeply showing the viewer the deeper inner feelings of the character and how he reacts when confronted with extreme situations you guys don't appriciate the complex thoughtprovoking explorations of the inner workings of an established character.
By the end of VOY we left 7 of 9 about to encounter a world she has little knowledge of...that is Earth and the Federation. She COULD have reacted to this introduction in many different ways. At this point she is ... a clean slate. Kurtzman's character is obviously very concerned about others who have had a similar journey to hers and has chosen to express her INDIVIDUALITY. The world she currently inhabits is VERY different from the sanitized world her Voyager crew mates might have told her about; it is also very different from the antiseptic world of TNG. It seems to me that like Picard, 7 has chosen to side with the down trodden in this messy NEW world. If she is "way off" perhaps she has seen for herself, just how "noble" Federation values are and is rebelling against them.
The REAL world is more like the one Kurtzman's 7, exists in. But if you are truly that NOSTALGIC for a futuristic panacea there are always the re-runs or The Orville!
Just saw the season finale of ST PIC and want to recommend the Ready Room following the Ep 10 finale for all of you ST PIC haters. It features Patrick Stewart and Alison Pill and they discuss what's great about ST. Will Wheaton points out that PIC is different form TNG but it is still ST. Some of you need to hear what they said. ST is not about the gender or race or sexual orientation of the stars; it is not about the uniforms or prosthesis worm by the actors; it is not about the technology displayed in the scenes. It is about 'mankind' and 'mankind's hopes and dreams'. It is about recognizing where mankind has failed and trying to make things better. THIS is why there will NEVER be a Pike/Spock show. That has been done already and it has been shown to be...wanting. ST is about WANTING HUMANITY TO BE BETTER. CBS is not in the business of creating well ..." m...fantasies"... for the fanboys!
Don't get it do you? Oh well! The Orville just started. Off you go!

Your Invidia impersonation is also way off. You need to find ways of saying something in 200 words instead of 20.
