Discuss Loki

What a waste of time and they expect us to come back for a season 2 after that garbage.

How was it horrible? It introduced the major big bad for the next phase of the MCU, Kang the Conqueror, told his backstory, as well as kick started the multiverse. Never has a Marvel TV series had as serious consequence to the movies like this show just did.

Ok where to start The show is called Loki but he ends up being a background character This is not Loki right after New York in the slightest, this is Loki's attitude post Ragnarok And what was with the stupid cliff hanger at the end of a boring series.

Huh? He's been the forefront of the entire series, and has appeared more than anyone else. The series ended like pretty much everything else Loki has been in, he fought for something he saw would benefit him in many ways (hence why Sylvie thought he was betraying her), and he lost (because he didn't want to hurt Sylvie). He's not someone who ever wins...well maybe next season that will change, who knows? Him being talked into siding with Kang is hands down the same attitude he had back in Avengers, where he also sought to be a lackey (of Thanos and later did the same with the Grandmaster).

I must have been possessed when I started watching. It only lasted for 30 minutes. Marvel's terrible at creating badass superheroes, and equally terrible at trying to make you believe they're injecting depth and relativism in their characters and stories. Short but intense cringe fest.

Avengers 4 felt like such a conclusion, that there's been no desire to watch any more MCU.

I'm tired of this neverending, interconnected crap. Is this entertainment or a list of chores?

Kang? Even the spoilers leave me indifferent

Kang is basically Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, in that he's a time-traveling, multi-dimensional hopping scientist, and there are an infinite number of versions of him. There's even a Council of Kangs akin to the Council of Ricks (Marvel did it first BTW). Sometimes he's good, but usually he's bad, and sometimes he outright Conquery (hence his title of "the Conquerer"). I'm mostly excited for Kang cause Marvel has outright poached Rick and Morty's writers for the next phase of the MCU.

Have a sneaky feeling you may not be in a majority for Phase 4 I really do hope im wrong but has not been good signs to change my mind thats for sure

Yeah, I'm totally baffled how this show is rated so high. It started off well, it was funny and amusing for the first couple of episodes, great banter between Owen Wilson and Loki. And the concept of Loki running loose in time causing mischief was tantalizing. But then it threw that idea out in favour of four meandering episodes about a massively overrated supervillain falling in love with himself, while discarding the humour and playful nature the show had established so well. It just got dull and stayed that way while featuring the most nonsensical and illogical plot logic and contradictory rules found in any time travel based story ever.

I do disagree about Loki becoming a background character though. He was there front and centre every episode, start to finish. Even when the female Loki was around he was right there next to her. So I do find that a bit of an odd criticism.

And yeah, it is cool that it set up the multiverse for future Marvel movies just before delivering the bad news that there's gonna be a season 2.

The head bad guy of Marvel is DR DOOM....when is he comong?
