I could not get into this episode from the get-go. I realize it is set in 1951, but when I saw the topic was going to be the flight patterns of the birds, all I could think of was this:

Boids Algorithm:
1) Fly toward the flock (the birds you can see). 2) Avoid flying into any other bird. 3) Try to match your velocity (speed and direction).
