Discusión The Mandalorian

I love star wars, but this show is so empty: I can't figure out why people love it or find it better then the last 3 movies... I guess there is some fan of fett there but most people I've talked with don't even remember him in the old movies and still love that show.

So tell me why for you this show worth 85% on tmdb with less scenario than a Pokemon episode. (Don't say baby Yoda please)

Because it expands the universe beyond the Jedi, and it's like a Western in space

Indeed it expands a little the universe and most episode are Western based. But it doesn't explain the high score.

I take for example: Westworld:

  • it expends a universe
  • SF
  • western But:
  • characters are more developed
  • episodes have more content
  • story is more developed
  • no filler episode
  • episode structure doesn't match pokemon Despite everything Westworld is rated lower than mandalorian on TMDB

It actually treats the lore of the universe properly in comparison to all the other Disney Wars garbage, and I guess the score shows the fans appreciate that.

I liked it. It "felt like Star Wars", it belongs right there with the OT, and the Clone Wars.

The manner in which it provided a different view of the Tusken Raiders was splendid.

And, the final scene? Genius. Incredible. Worth the journey.

I kind of agree. It's not as good as it's made out to be. That's not to say it isn't pretty good. But it does seem to get very high praise simply because it's better than the recent films.

Great score and western feel to the whole thing but the episodes are too short and some of the stories are quite weak and cliched. I know the mandolrian himself is supposed to be quite cold and wooden but a lot of the other cast are too.

I'd definitely take Westworld over this.

It really is an oasis relative to the desert of SW piffle (non-OT).

Yep, there are quite a few filler episodes just bridging the gap from the start to the awesome final episode. This rhythm of "meet new people who need local help; barter to get their help to advance me to the next episode" got tired for me...but I wanted to ride it out...and was glad I did.

Another of the problems with this series, for me, is there were a lot of characters I really liked, that I would have liked to see more of - Kuill and IG-11 quickly spring to mind.

The first 2 seasons of Westworld yes but it took a steep dive
