Kool to see Jay Hernandez getting work... he was my hero in the film Hostel and a small part of its sequel. I also liked his work in Lakeview Terrace.

For some reason, I feel like their changing Magnum to a Mexican American makes him more relatable to me. I could never bring myself to care about Tom Selleck back in the days, to be frank.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I dont hate it. It's not the Magnum I know, but I dont hate it. If they can keep it unique and not devolve into a 5-0 wannabe then it has a chance. I think the casting is good but I'm not sure about TC yet.

What exactly constitutes a Hit TV show now a days. The new Macgyver bring in about 8 to 6 million viewers. That like the state of New Jersey watching it. When the original Macgyver ended it had 22.3 million people watching. The original Magnum P.I. ended with 50 million people watching. I don't think that going happen this time around. Not to mention that Mash ended with 105.9 million people watching. I don't mind the new Hawaii 5-0. But lets be honest, the original wasn't that good in the first place.

All those shows aired back when there were limited viewing options. You only had the three big networks. Now adays, we have a lot more viewing options available including streaming.

Right... you practically had to accept it back then. I, however, chose to rebel.
