The novel it's based on precedes "Girl" by a few years, though from what I've seen of the show they're concentrating on the early part of the book.

Sorry, Passage.

It started well as a Crichtonesque thriller, then went into "girl with powers goes on the run" (the bit the show seems to be concentrating on) and then leapt forward into sub-"The Stand" territory. Haven't bothered with the other 2 books.

Not read "Girl", but enjoyed the film.
