I just watched the first season over again. Actually it was the first time I saw the season finale. This is an interesting show. I really want to see if the two of them will be able to "time walk" and get away from the council of 'creatures' on their way to lay hold of them.

The final scene showed the council members about to enter the house, after Satu used her magic to blow the front door off, and then cut to Diana distracted from her spell as she senses something just happened. What will happen next?

1- The interruption could interfere with Diana and Matthew's attempt to time walk to the 1500s and they could be captured by the council for interrogation and punishment. The writers could create tension with this crisis. I can see them creating a lot of drama that way. But if they do that, I would guess that at some point Diana and Matthew will join hands prior to the sentence being carried out. And when they do that, then they will time walk and escape.

or maybe 2- Diana and Matthew are able to complete the time walk, but due to the interruption they travel to some time other than that which they intended.

or maybe 3- something causes Matthew to break his grasp on Diana's hand, perhaps he needs to defend her in some way, and Diana time walks but Matthew doesn't.

I am guessing that something like version 1 will happen when next season is shown.
