The originating network is BBC One and their episode guide lists eight episodes -- notice how Episode 6 says 6/8 right before the description.

Any source confirms it first aired as eight episodes?

Strangely, that page is the only one that mentions eight episodes at all.
RadioTimes lists six episodes and The Guardian reviewed each episode, again only six. I'm going to remove 7 & 8 soon.

Hey Rebecca, there are indeed 8 episodes. I just watched them on HBO Max. This could be unlocked and reverted. Thanks.

There are two differents versions of this series. Chapters length of the "version 1":
Total length: 341 mins
Chapters length of the "version 2" (as appears on HBO Max):
Total length: 341 mins
It is the same content but separated in different ways, is up to the moderators what version they want to include.
