Discuss Midsomer Murders

Generally, I have no problem 'naming' the person who turns out to be the-alleged-perpetrator. (Usually because by show's end I've named everyone who appears...even if it's just in passing smirk )

Anyway, this "hide in plain sight" ending in "A Climate Of Death" really caught me out.

Even though the doer-of-dastardly deeds checked all the boxes, and was everywhere all at once during the entire episode, I still wanted to speaking_head "No Way"! after the-Big-Reveal.

It's like the writers tricked us. That is, giving clues while deliberately concealing among high profile others, the one inconsequential person no one in this town (or elsewhere on the planet) would ever suspect.

It's like the writers were practicing a type of "mind control"

Bravo!

For some reason, no matter the genre, fans are always pestering Showrunners for a "Musical” episode.

Well, in this case, all I can say is: Well Done!

I think it would have been hard (impossible?) for this type of show to pull off a "real world" musical episode, but "surreal"... heavy_check_mark It Works!

Also, thumbsup thumbsup to the writers for the premise!

I consider S17E22, "Why Is Everyone Singing," an absolute gem .

?? Season/series 17 only had 4 episodes. I also cannot find an episode with that name.
