In season 2 there was a plot line that spread across several episodes about a pilot who had fallen out of the sky. He knows Chester's name etc and alludes to the presence of Yuko.

But it turns out that Yuko was never there.

So what was actually going on with the Admiral and this character? Aside from misdirection it has nothing to do with the story and it was never explained.
