There are 6 episodes that Natgeo has mashed into 3 double-length episodes on their web site: Savage Kingdom
I've recorded all the episodes as originally broadcast and have linked to screen caps of each episode title.

Unfortunately, I can't find an authoritative source on the web. I only have the recorded episodes as proof.

Do you have an archive of the homepage from 2016 at the time of the broadcast ?

No, but I do have all the episodes recorded from when they were originally broadcast.
Also, I've confirmed each of the 6 episodes map to the mashed up episodes available on the Natgeo web site.

From what I was able to find on TV listings, season 1 did air as 3 double-length episodes with the names "Clash of Queens", "Army of Darkness" and "Big Game of Thrones": http://thefutoncritic.com/showatch/savage-kingdom/listings/

I guess it makes more sense to follow your sources and the Natgeo web site ... fewer arguments down the road.
I'm still wondering why the 6 individual episodes were broadcast? We'll probably never know!
