Severe internet addiction has become an epidemic infecting the nation's youth, ultimately resulting in their extreme dependence on the world wide web. Those who are too far gone are enrolled at Elite Reeducation Academy in order to help them grow into successful adults. Hibiki is one such teenager who awakens in the facility unaware of how he came to be there. He learns from the head instructor that he was knocked out and brought to the school at his mother's behest, concerned with how belligerent her son was becoming as a result of his internet addiction.

Stuck in a place more akin to a prison than an academy, and with no escape from the abuses of the instructors, Hibiki decides to end his life by jumping from the roof. But as fate would have it, he meets a mysterious man named Shin who promises to give his life meaning...

Dans notre société moderne, une nouvelle maladie touche la jeunesse : la solitude, l’incrédulité et l’indignation face aux institutions corrompues poussent garçons et filles à vivre à travers Internet et les nouvelles technologies. Les experts appellent ces symptômes « Net Addiction ». Pour contrer ce phénomène, un programme est lancé pour aider ces jeunes à revenir dans le droit chemin. Envoyé par sa mère dans ce centre pour traiter son addiction, Hibiki voit ce lieu comme une simple prison aux règles très sévères. Parviendra-t-il à survivre dans cet enfer ?

Um die erkrankten Jugendlichen wieder auf den „richtigen Weg“ zu führen, wird eine spezielle Rehabilitationseinrichtung ins Leben gerufen, in die auch Hibiki eines Tages eingewiesen wird. Doch schnell wird klar: Die Anlage ist in Wirklichkeit ein Gefängnis, das sich zudem schon bald als die wahre Hölle herausstellt ...

La grave dipendenza da Internet è diventata un'epidemia che ha infettato i giovani della nazione, portando infine alla loro estrema dipendenza dal world wide web. Coloro che sono andati troppo oltre vengono iscritti all'Elite Reeducation Academy per aiutarli a diventare adulti di successo. Hibiki è uno di questi adolescenti che si risveglia nella struttura ignaro di come sia arrivato lì. Apprende dal capo istruttore che è stato messo fuori combattimento e portato a scuola per volere di sua madre, preoccupato di quanto belligerante stesse diventando suo figlio a causa della sua dipendenza da Internet.

Bloccato in un luogo più simile a una prigione che a un'accademia, e senza scampo agli abusi degli istruttori, Hibiki decide di porre fine alla sua vita saltando dal tetto. Ma come vuole il destino, incontra un uomo misterioso di nome Shin che promette di dare un senso alla sua vita...

그리고 젊은이들을 바르게 이끈다는 이름으로 어느 갱생시설이 탄생했다.

그러나 이 시설에 수용된 인터넷 중독자 히비키를 기다리고 있던 것은

갱생교육이 아닌, 이른바 감옥이었다.

내부에서부터 탈출이 허가되지 않는 시설에서,

히비키는 지옥과 같은 절망에 탈출하는 것이 가능할 것인가?

Niedowierzanie, samotność i oburzenie nakłaniają młode pokolenie do coraz silniejszego powiązania z Internetem i technologiami. Eksperci nazywają to "Uzależnieniem od Internetu" i aby wyleczyć ich z tej choroby zostaje założony pewien ośrodek rehabilitacji, który ma na celu "sprowadzić młodych ludzi z powrotem na właściwą drogę". Kiedy Hibiki postanowił wyleczyć się ze swojego uzależnienia nie miał pojęcia, że placówka rehabilitacyjna to tylko więzienie. W tym piekielnym miejscu, z którego nie ma ucieczki, jak Hibiki pokona rozpacz?

Adaptação do Manhua do mesmo nome (Lixiang Jinqu, A Ideal Zona Restrita) ocorre em uma escola completamente fechada. Depois do protagonista adolescente com uma vida de vício virtual ser jogado na escuridão da "escola", ele inicia uma vida nunca antes esperada conhecendo novas realizações de si mesmo, vivendo amores e traições de amigos, desistindo da dignidade de aluno, uma vez que se torna a "lixeira" da escola onde diz ser o a base da transformação da escória.
