Started watching just to check out how they will format this docu-series and was instantly hooked! It's my first time hearing about this case and I was convinced they were guilty in Part 1 & feel they are innocent during Part 2 with the lack of evidence & inconsistent details with their "confession" but still, even if they were innocent - they're quite questionable characters plus getting involved with the (undercover) gangsters.
Also, if this happened like a teen witnessing gruesome murder - Sebastian's parents allowed him to just be with Atif? Won't they take their son to therapy or something? Clearly they were home during burial of Atif's family and even present during the ceremony for them, what about Atif's relatives? Do they think Atif did it? Wish there was an interview from Atif's side or family friend of them. We only got the girlfriends & Burns family who clearly believes they're innocent.
Would hate for them to receive life sentence for murder if they did not do it, but if they did do it...why?
Gaaah! Can't stop thinking about it - innocent or guilty?

I couldn't help but think this was a severe misreading of the situation. To look at the way someone is grieving and make so many assumptions seems sketchy and unprofessional. Of course, things have come so far in 20 years. The other thing that was super sketchy with the conviction IMO was allowing admissibility of a confession that was obtained using a technique that is not legal in the US. I understand that they could only be charged with murder in the US, but I think they should have had to obtain their own confession for trial or try them without it. It was a SEVERE bending of the rules whether or not they are guilty! What an embarrassment for "justice".
