Do you know of an official source other than IMDB/Wikipedia? IMDB isn't always the most reliable source for episode information.

Short story here: According to the Swedish Movie Database the Madicken series has 2 seasons. Under the section "Visningar" in the following link you can view that the episode 1 of 6 aired 1979, which suggests that there was 6 episode in that season. You can also view that episode 1, 2,3 and 4 aired in 1983, which suggests that there was 4 episodes in that season. http://www.svenskfilmdatabas.se/sv/item/?type=film&itemid=56791#release-dates
Long story here: There are two Madicken movies.
There is the first Madicken movie, Du är inte klok Madicken/You are out of your mind Maggie. This Madicken movie was actually made as a movie, but later became the 4 episode series in 1983. Then there is the second Madicken movie, Madicken på Junibacken . This was first made as a series the 6 episode series which was aired before it was cut in to a movie from scenes of the series. So the first movie was cut into season 2 of the series that aired in 1983 and the last movie was made from season 1 of the series that aired in 1979. Perhaps more information that you needed.

Second Madicken season: 1 of 4 episodes Link to second episode of second season, where it says 2 out of 4 episodes: https://smdb.kb.se/catalog/search?q=madicken+typ%3Atv+year%3A1980-1989
Please adjust this fault in at TMDB.
