Even the star ghost seeing guy looks like the ghost seeing guy on Midnight Texas. It's Midnight Texas minus the werewolf, the witch, the vampire, the angel and the hit lady...and all other things interesting.

It's just too dang slow. I will give it 3 episodes.

I just love Kandyse McClure(If I ever got rich), but this 2nd episode is about to make me quit. The pretty thin lesbian mayor and her cute lesbian hubby/wife, just made me cringe. The morons still talking crap to Roman is making me about to lose it. Roman is the most relaxed a-hole ever.

I love Kandyse McClure too, and I've had a crush on her for a loooong time, but not even she can save this show. Too bad though.

seven episodes in and I have to concur.

1. It's not a rip-off at all.
2. This has a far more compelling background story than the overused heaven vs. hell platitudes in Midnight, Texas.

After my initial reaction to the show, I binge watched what I had at first given up on- and now I must totally agree with you. It's not a rip-off and the background story is more compelling.

I still say the star ghost seeing guy looks similar to the ghost seeing guy on Midnight Texas.
