Discuss Na muške

This series is so so formulaic - the determined MI6 agent - female of course - Asian in this case - (though not heavily pregnant thank goodness!!) pursuing a devilishly clever assassin - again - female who - (yawn yawn) begins to target her pursuer. There is a mole in the organisation - (isn't there always) and for some unfathomable reason - said mole has to be assassinated. Villanelle - the villainess - overacts to pantomime proportions in some scenes and the other actors, sad to say, are not outstanding. The usual emphasis on female functions is ever present as is the compulsory gay characters. One of the rules of creative writing is that every line of dialogue and every action of a protagonist must drive the plot forward - that rule seems to have been long lost nowadays when pointless dialogue and endless sex scenes that have nothing to do with the plot seem to be the order of the day. With regard to this series one may well ask why an unarmed agent would pursue a known killer in a foreign country with no back-up and once he realises he is noticed he runs like hell - so what was the point of following her? Also - after being pursued by said killer - would an unarmed female agent decide to stop the car she was escaping in and have a chat with her? Absolute nonsense. I haven't reached the last episode yet - not sure I will either. Ok, so I reached it - and what a mess it was. I wondered when did Eve become the boss of the department and demand that her boss ask her permission to do anything let alone get said bosses son to betray his mother in such a fashion - and what did said betrayal accomplish anyway? As usual the mystery of how victims of untreated severe knife wounds get up and walk away continues to puzzle. And the constant messing with her "amazing" hair got on my nerves - amazing if you like matt dull frizz in no particular style I suppose. Another series looms as this is based on a series of novels - I am not looking forward to it.
