The acting on here is atrocious. Was the original Dynasty this bad?! LOL
I’m watching it In memory of my past family members who I may have watched some of the originals with....I didn’t quite catch the fascination back then.
I think Fallon is my favourite so far and I assume the acting can only get better if it’s into it’s third season now.
It is fun to try and figure out which character parallels the character from the 80s. Grant Show is no John Forsythe but I have a bit of a soft spot for Melrose Place alumni.
Sure a lot more people of colour and gay action in this updated version. Sammy Jo (Heather Locklear) is now a gay man. Ok.....

Back in the day, I watched the original Dynasty and liked it, but not as much as Dallas. Dynasty was (as I recall) more OTT, both regarding the situations and the acting. It didn't take itself too seriously, so tended to be entertaining.
I've not watched any episodes of The CW version (haven't watched any series on that channel in four or so years, the last having been Reign [which I gave up on after its first couple or so seasons]). I saw recent promos for the current Dynasty, and even in those 20 or so seconds the reflected acting looked decidedly also-ran and cheesy.

I must say, I’m almost finished Season 3 and I’ll be sad to see it end. I think both I changed my expectations and the show got better. I’m glad to hear there will be a Season 4. It’s fun escapism.
