Discusión The Witcher

Feels like they filmed random separate scenes and then forced them together in editing. Maybe I misunderstand the geography of the world in the series, but characters sometimes shown to travel long time from one location to another, and sometimes they just travel between different locations in an instant. The sense of space and time is so messed up in this show. Season 1 managed somehow to justify this, and there are these magic portals, but it's not like everyone can create them. The writing is still very chaotic, the dialogs are dull. This show is a good example of how someone can pitch a solid idea in few sentences but then when the writers actually start writing the scenes it all crumbles down in a spectacular display of incompetence. At least Siri stops being the center of everything and the focus seems to switch to Yen, which is better. Although her character seems to become softer, happier and less interesting, I really hope someone will put an end to it soon. Dark and broody Yennefer is what we need. I wouldn't say that Geralt became a secondary character, he still has a lot of presence in the show, as much as Yen. So I do not agree with this point.
The show is watchable, better than season 2 but far from season 1 level.

Oh wow, just completed last three episodes and this seals it, this is officially one of the worst shows on TV and one of the biggest downfalls in the TV history.
I really, really don't understand how these people could make such a sh!tshow. Is there no supervision from Netflix? When the producers read the script do they not see what a piece of sh!t this is? I can't even... seriously. Who in their right mind approves such crap?

This is so bad, so amateur, so painful to watch. And Netflix has good shows, they know how to read scripts. Shadow and Bone is no way a masterpiece of writing, but the show is dynamic and very entertaining, with great characters arcs and very interesting storytelling. Compare it to the Witcher and it's just mind-blowing that no one at any point said that The Witcher is utter sh!t that is better to be burned with all the servers that host it instead of releasing it to the public. I'd rather lose all the production budget than be ashamed that I produced something like that.

This is complete garbage of the writing, directing, editing, acting.

And the producers say that they will replace the actor in a suitable way that makes sense, but the season ends without any hint about that. They had perfect situation, with Geralt being injured, to invent some kind of magical healing that will restore the body but will have an affect on his appearance. Like what they did with Yen. And they could've end with that, preparing for transformation, while next season they complete it and voila, it's Liam Hemsworth. But no, nothing like that. Why? No idea.

It really pisses me off to know that such bad writers and showrunners are allowed to work on such shows and have an impact on us, the viewers. I don't care if they don't follow books, games or whatever. From my view they could invent anything completely new and screw the fans that expect the real lore, I don't care. But at least write and produce something interesting and worth my time and attention, what kind of sh!t is that?

Horrible, just horrible. Fire everyone, reboot everything.

The first season was decent, but after that I don't know what they did. It hardly resembles the book series. I also don't get the push for complete diversity in everything like this and Wheel of Time. It doesn't make sense where even small villages have people from every continent (our world). It's as if all the races mixed, but did not actually mix (have children together).

As long as there are enough viewers, the show won't be cancelled.
