"LaMarr succeeds in improving the Aronov device with an increase of the temporal resolution of the field."

"Gordon is accidentally hurtled back in time to 2015 Earth during an attack by the Kaylon and he sends a message to the USS Orville asking for their help."

"Three years later he goes looking for Laura Huggins, the woman he fell in love with in the episode 'Lasting Impressions'."

"When the crew of the Orville gets his message and finds him in 2025, he is married to Laura with two children. He refuses to go back to his own time."

Ed: "Seems like you've acclimated to this century."

Gordon: "Yeah. You know, this time period gets a bad rap, but there's a lot to like about it if you look hard enough. Well, you know, it's like watching your little brother make a bunch of stupid mistakes. Yeah, he's an idiot now, but you can see him learning, and growing, and you know that someday all those mistakes are gonna turn him into a smart guy."

Ed: "You have to come with us."

Gordon: "Forget it. Ten years ago I wanted it! More than anything in the galaxy. But not now. You took too long. And I'm happy here."

Gordon: "I fell in love with you... three centuries after you were gone."

Laura: "Where do we go from here?"

Gordon: "They want to take me back."

Laura: "And, what do you want?"

Gordon: "I want you."

"Ed decides to go back to 2015 and rescue Gordon then. He will not have met Laura yet, but the consequence is that his marriage to her and his family in 2025 will never happen."

Laura: "What kind of people are you?"

Kelly: "I'm so sorry. But this reality was never supposed to exist."

Laura: "Our reality? My son's? My baby's? You're saying they won't exist?"

Kelly: "I... I don't know."

Ed: "That's the reason it's illegal and immoral to play god with history."

Gordon: "Who's playing god, huh? The only one playing god here is you. Is it illegal to erase people from existence? Because I call that murder."

"There are two children who will never be born."

"And a future that will."
