This show gives me a reason to watch that network again.
Really, REALLY, looking forward to seeing Shahi (POI) in a "meaty" series again.
Plus, it is an interesting premise. Maybe a case of art being a step-ahead of life? VR as a future "it-drug"--I can envision it.

Could be good, though the premise is a bit worn - sounds a bit like Rod Rees' Demi-Monde novel series (heroine being injected into a VR simulation to save a valuable asset) and even NBC's own 1997 show https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4293-sleepwalkers (and many others).
The delays to its launch and lack of trailer less than 2 months before air doesn't bode well, either.
Still, Sarah Shahi ...

Worrisome---Yes. Woesome… Not necessarily.
Even if TPTB only consider it something worth “burning off”—can never predict what will capture the viewing public’s imagination.
Also, if a premise being a bit worn were a deal breaker--"Marvel'" would be out of business long-time. -- But seriously, I think that as long the show tweaks the premise enough to make it intriguing, and the writing/acting is up-to-snuff, the fanbase is out there.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Looking forward to seeing Sendhil Ramamurthy--not much to shout about from him since his "Heroes" days. I know he did a turn on "Covert Affairs"; but thought he was severely underused in that role.

That'll please the ladies of Château LeMarchand. I think he did a stint in the recent "Beauty and the Beast" TV show reboot but, as a fan of the Ron Perlman version, I refused to watch it as I wanted a continuation, dammit!

Here's a blast from the past, a short story by Alfred Bester, appearing in 1953 https://books.google.com/books?id=Fqk_DwAAQBAJ&pg=PA5&lpg=PA5&dq=cow+dee+on+us+eager+tour&source=bl&ots=iposkGKK-K&sig=F5JELdTiJl0HBQutb9ma5VSOnrQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjgqo7Ex7DbAhW0HjQIHc6UDwAQ6AEIKTAA#v=onepage&q=cow%20dee%20on%20us%20eager%20tour&f=false Updated with modern computer software, biotech, and whiz bang physics, it sounds like a real life "Ward T." Cow Dee On Us Eager Tour!;)

I'm going to give it a try, not because I like the premise but because of Shahi. I think she gets a bad rap most of the time. I liked her on 'Life' (was sad to see that show go away) & loved her on POI (another show gone too soon).

Same here; I nodded off during her second incursion into the chap's reverie (OK, had been out to a huge meal + booze). Rest of the family were unimpressed too, which is a shame as we'd all been looking forward to it.

I forgot it was on last night, I was watching Code Black. I guess I'll have to watch it online?

Just finished watching. It looks interesting. I think it's clear that Lexie (Jessica Lu) is the 'evil one' here, Paul (Sendhil Ramamurthy) doesn't seem to know if he wants to go over to the 'dark side' or not & I'm not sure about Haysbert's character yet. I see Kathryn Morris is in it , not a big fan. I'll give it a couple more episodes before I decide. Besides everything else is reruns.

Well the series has been officially cancelled and can be added to the ever growing list of shows that have ended on a cliffhanger.

This show has a similar premise to an episode of Star Trek TNG called "The Nexus" in which Picard would not return from it to his Captaincy of the Enterprise.
