Already something makes no sense. And no not the supernatural aspect.
Henry was about 8 when he vanished. His dad was found dead from a broken back and exposure. When the kid returned with no memory of what happened to hi, this town of Castle Rock BLAMED HIM for his dads death. As if an 8 year old could break a mans back and leave him or drag him outside!! How f**king stupid are these hicks?? AND to still be holding a grudge all these years later?? I know the stereotye of the small town and all but this is ridiculous and takes away from the narrative. Not sure I am gonna give the rest my time.

SPOILERS!!!!
And in the final episode we see just how Henry could kill his father and the method is quite plausible.

Yes, I will agree with that. I also thought it odd the townspeople were blaming Matthew's death on Henry.

It could be simply the show playing into the stereotype of small towns like Castle Rock being full of simple minded ignorant people. The handful who aren't tend to be marginalized in some way.
