I have a few questions:
The cave connects 3 years: 1953, 1986, and 2019. So how did Jonas get to the future (possibly 2052) ? We see that Regina's mother was living in that time, but how is she able to travel back to 2019 and 1953.
I liked how they did time travel, but one thing that bothered me is how The Stranger was against changing it. He solved nothing in the finale and Jonas risks making the same mistakes. Jonas should have taken his father back to 2019. Yeah, he wouldn't exist, but the events of 1953 never would have happened.

For the first question, we can only guess at an answer until season 2. I think when Jonas 2.0 in 1986 was setting off his time machine, and the black hole or whatever started opening in front of him, another bigger one started opening in 2019. So maybe the time frame of the jumps extended too. Maybe next season we will see 2052, and back to 1921 as well, or even further. I like the sound of that.
As for Jonas 2.0/The Stranger solving nothing, he doesn't necessarily know he's solved nothing. He's been led to believe that what he's doing will solve it all, by Claudia (according to Noah she is evil and lying, but when has a priest that creepy ever been a good guy?). Chances are Jonas 2.0 won't survive to know either way. But I don't think Jonas 1.0 would have been able to save Mikkel. If Jonas 1.0 saved Mikkel, took him back to 2019, then Jonas would never have been born, so he wouldn't be able to go back and save him. This show dabbles a lot with Bootstrap Paradoxes (the time machine plans being given to the watchmaker is a classic example) but it seems to avoid Grandfather Paradoxes.
Also there is the classic explanation of nothing was actually going to get solved because they wanted a season 2...

Thanks, for your input. You're right, we'll have to wait until season 2.

It raises the question: when 2052 was accessed, did it close off 1953? Did that trap Ulrich back there?
Netflix has a really good site which answers questions, with spoiler warnings, from many different viewpoints. https://dark.netflix.io

Has anyone heard when the next season will be out? I really like the way this show is written
In fact, I have only seen two German shows dubbed in English, Dark and Babylon Berlin, and I love both of them. I have a lot of respect now for German films based on these two.
