Discuss Salvation

I made it about 15 minutes into the second episode. Bad casting/writing/directing/acting......dumb, predictable subplots ....zero tension.......actually everything is bad about it except for the premise. And somehow they manage to make an interesting premise extremely boring.

CBS does that with these summer shows. Remember the God awful UNDER THE DOME? FOX isn't much better. The original WAYWARD PINES was halfway decent. But last year's Season 2 was some of the worst TV I've ever seen. Except for UNDER THE DOME. Another summer dud I had high hopes for was THE MIST. But that show is filled with the same issues you list here. Bad casting/writing/directing/acting, with dumb predictable subplots, and forced social commentary.

I haven't even made it through all of the pilot of Under The Dome. Laughably bad.

The only thing that could have saved Under The Dome, at least the first episode, would have been actual nudity by Britt Robertson. But, it was broadcast network TV. Sigh.

You may have something there.....haha

I see that it's coming back to network TV, like Halley's comet.;)
