Of course he is supposed to be the bad guy - but if he does as he says - he will be a better king:
It really was a bad society most of the inhumans had to live in. It is like the goddamn DDR in there. The King and Queen and the spoiled sister were bad rulers of what was shown up to episode 3.
Go Ramsay .... ehhh Maximus.

Such a shortsighted view you got there, considering they live in a very resource-lacking place like the Moon. Earth is really not an option, we all know humans won't be welcoming them so there's no other choice but a society like that.

So it is ok to force people to work in the mines and forbid them to make their own choices? Everybody who wants to leave should be allowed to. Otherwise it is a big prison in which a few live good and the rest suffers. Most of them look human anyway and wouldn´t be noticed on earth - but even a freakish looking inhuman should be allowed to do what he wants.

Meh, your thinking is just too shallow and it's obvious you can't look at it from an objective POV not influenced by today's society. Things are rarely that simple.
You're also very naive if you think Maximus' intentions are genuine, it's pretty obvious he's just using everyone for his personal goals.

Objective point of view ;) Sure - you are the only one to have that. And of course I look at it influenced by our modern society - where it is not ok to imprison and enslave people. You call me shallow but have no arguments. Maybe they'll explain in the next episodes why the King and Queens ways were ok... we`ll see.
And I'm sure Maximus won´t stay true to his promises - otherwise he really would be the good guy. That is why I wrote "if he does as he says".

Tonight's episode showed the first signs of Maximus being evil but is he as evil as his brother and the Medusa I have yet to see that. As I have said before this is one of the shows where the "good guys" are hard to root for because they are slave rulers and seem like robots with no compassion.
