When you are the only self-produced scripted show on your network, and you get canceled, you have to be a special kind of awful.
SPIKE is actually being re-branded in December or January as THE PARAMOUNT NETWORK. Clearly they'd rather start from scratch than give thing smelly pile of dung a second season. I said it before - but I'll say it again - this POS seemed as though it was written by interns. And I think I've seen better directed scenes in Ed Wood productions.
The crazy thing is, when I watch 3-4 episodes of a show, especially one that's only going to have 10 episodes in it's first season, I usually will stick with it. Not with The Mist. I don't know, nor do I care, what happened to any of these characters. In fact, I hope they all ended up at the church, and then the British Troops from Mel Gibson's "THE PATRIOT" showed up, locked them all in, and burnt the church to the ground. That would have been a fitting end for those poorly written characters.
I thought it was OK for what it was. I do agree it wasn't on the same level of quality as some other Stephen King shows such as Castle Rock and Mr. Mercedes.
