My favorite scene of terrible writing was in the last episode I wasted my time watching. It was the one where Kevin was flashing back (or was it Eve?) to a scene when they were alone in their home. They were having sex, and Eve wanted it 'harder'. She really got into it. He obliged, though he seemed astonished and shocked. Afterwards, he asks her "What was that??", and she replied "Sex".

Now, this scene really wasn't all that crazy. I think I had wilder sex in a car when I was a teenager. These 2 are supposedly MARRIED for years. Am I supposed to believe that this was the first deviation in their sex lives away from mundane missionary position sex?? I mean, she wanted it a bit harder, and was vocal about it. I'd hate to see this clown's reaction to a request for doggie style sex, or God forbid, her wanting to be on top.

This is just another example of how STUPID this writing is. Especially given that they've gone out of their way to make Eve's slutty past the worst kept secret in this entire town. To everyone but her husband Kevin I guess. But seriously. Kevin finds this 'odd'?? Sorry, but married couples who've been together for years have done MUCH wilder things than this - most couples before they are even married. It's almost as if the scene were written for 14 year old kids who have little to no frame of reference for sex other than what they've seen in Health class. And even then, today, most kids that age have seen wilder stuff on the internet.

I'm not at all sure who they think their audience is. Any adult is rolling their eyes at this teenie-bopper high school drama crap we're seeing. The funny thing is, someone sat around a table and said "This stuff is GOOD!". smh.

The entire show seems like it's been written and produced by interns who just moved up from coffee runs. As I said elsewhere, THE MIST makes UNDER THE DOME appear to be a work of Shakespeare.

What about the first discussion the dad has with his daughter in the car about her high school crush? It was borderline gross, needless exposition. The high school theatre line delivery didn't help either.
