Wow is this ever a piece of crap. Awful acting by everyone which is sad because Clay Davis (sheeeeeeeeeeeit) is in this. The young main girl is terrible. Terrible isn't the right word but I don't have an extreme thesaurus handy. Her acting wouldn't pass muster in a snuff film let alone a show that is on an actual tv channel. I understand that everyone has that role they're embarrassed about, but this would rank BELOW being "girl in alley" in Big Butts VI. Pitiful

And now it's on Netflix. I'm actually going to be paying for this.

Somehow I'm still watching it, because of the junkie girl and Frances Conroy. And I skip all the other scenes. Am I even surprised that Bryan's leg is suddenly ok in one scene, and then he's limping again in another scene? Nope.

Yea, I loved the film so much, watched it numerous times, one of my all time fav's, BUT then there's this, it's even worse than Under the Dome(I sadly watched that into S3, I know I'm ashamed). I kept trying to force feed myself this show thinking "well there's lots of other shows that didn't get good until 4 or 5 episodes in", but nope I spontaneously spit out the feeding tube every time, it's THAT bad to me, the characters are 💩, the writing is 💩💩 and the mist is even 💩 the little that I've seen of what's in it.

It's aimed at a young audience it seems like early teens maybe, if they even like it, idk because it's just that bad imo, it's a total 💩💩💩💩💩 outta 5 💩's . I don't give that many sh!ts about just any series I dislike, only a series that I was extremely looking forward to with high hopes of a monstrous nightmare, but ended up with a teen drama symbolic fantasy that is like sandpaper to my eyes😱

Frances Conroy is the only actor/actress in this entire mess with any real skill. And even she seems to be sleepwalking through her scenes. I've never been as disappointed in a series in a long time as I am with this disaster.

Censor you're pretty lenient. I wouldn't say ANYONE has exhibited anything resembling acting skill. They are all plain awful

The young main girl is so f*cking terrible I just couldn't f*cking stand a single scene with her in it. That sad puppy eyes with "I'm seconds away from bursting into tears" permanently stuck face, OMFG! I wanted to punch that face over and over and over and over and over and over until there's nothing but a bloody stump on her neck. FFS. Rest of the cast isn't any better either...

Spike dumped this turd on Netflix. Netflix will pay for ANY thing.

Shit Spike probably donated the season to Netflix, I'm surprised they snapped it up like they apparently did. It's certainly a situation where VERY low ball dollar amounts were tossed around. It would have been fun to be in the room during their price negotiating sessions, it would be FAR, FAR more entertaining than anything that was shown in that travesty of a series that only hurt the rep of the original legendary'ish film.

Stephen King's series productions are all full of the same dramatic drivel between characters that we don't care about in the least, aimed at tweenies and at some points I just couldn't process the idiocracy of it all and pulled the plug on the eye grating affair. He should really STOP producing series, looks like he had absolutely nothing to do with any phase of the much anticipated upcoming film IT(2017) . I'm looking forward to it at least though all those fake ass ratings on IMDb are suspect, 9.2/10 with nearly a thousand "bot" votes most 10/10's.

Especially for me, a true horror hound, I know EXACTLY how much lower rated all horror flicks are just because they aren't ever viewed by the right people who know what truly rises above other films, but a 9.2/10 🤣 NAH.

I just finished watching "Storm of the Century" for the first time in ages and thought to myself "this is everything the The Mist isn't".

I started watching this since I didn't see anything else that grabbed my eye. I thought I would give it a try.

Now I am sort of caught watching a slow motion pile up. This is a kind of teeny high school show. It ticks a lot of the boxes, it has the sympathetic gay kid who is bullied, the slut shamed woman, the dogmatic, not very empathetic minister, and lots of angst ridden teenagers. Characters make really stupid decisions which telegraph their approaching misfortunes. Mean characters frequently find karmic justice.

And I keep watching to see if it will get better. LOL
