I think this show is decent enough. It explores some ethical/moral dilemmas that are of course relevant today. The Muslim episode was interesting. I guess we are supposed to decide whether Danny was a potential terrorist or not. Or perhaps his murderer planted that video on his phone. Any thoughts?

it has been gaining a little steam after a slow start,i do wish they would get away from the case of the week format.

What would you prefer to see? A longer story line? That would be okay as well.

[SPOILER ep 12]

I like the show, but this episode, not so much. Law enforcement in the US is held in such high regard that a cop is ruled not guilty of three murders just because he is decorated? Is the situation on the streets really so dire that a jury is willing to acquit just because they believe a vigilante might be just what they need? They bought his speech about how they were going to kill each other off sooner or later anyway. But he was getting payed dirty money, he's no Daredevil or Luke Cage.

This is so foreign to me because we don't have a jury system in my country, nor is the police ranked as high as in the US, where uniforms seem to be met with certain virtue. Where I come from, he would be behind bars in a maximum security prison before he could blink. Maybe not genpop, but that's just because my country believes very strongly in human rights.

I think I liked this episode for the fact that it was honest. A cop can and does get away with murder in the US all the time (highly decorated or not) from what I have seen. I'm just glad they were honest about it. It is disgusting and unfair but we see it playing out all the time in the news especially when minorities are the victims.

It's such a sad situation because some of these cops are worse than criminals and hide behind their badge, the justice system, the cop unions and their buddies on the force to get away with committing heinous crimes.

I changed my mind after reading this. You're right of course. NBC has been going out on a limb to do just that, trying to stay honest. TV should depict reality, nothing else. There's no reason why the truth should be shrouded, we get enough of that from those we should be able to trust more than anything; the government. I see that same honesty in their other shows; Chicago P.D with their rough interrogation techniques, Chicago Fire had an episode that resembled the Ghost Ship fire which upset a lot of people. Maybe their goal is to make you start talking about it at home, to raise awareness. Unfortunately I think the hate has grown too deep in people's hearts to make them actually give a damn.

I couldn't have said it better!!!
