NBC doesn't have a good track record for anything even remotely adult in content, too bad it's not on HBO, or Netflix.

I'll have to check reviews, but based on the trailer it doesn't look good.

Networks don't like pushing boundaries because they might be fined because of someone at the FCC doesn't like ankles or shoulders.

Actually the pilot was pretty good. I'm looking forward to see how it progress, but yeah too bad it's on network television and not on cable.

I really liked the pilot too, and the cast of characters- so yes, NBC will probably cancel it. I also thought it should be on HBO or Showtime- heck even TNT or FXX would have been better.

Yeah I liked the pilot too and yeah since it's on network television and not HBO like True Blood was, it will be heavily censored which suck a$$. I do find that these types of supernatural shows don't do too well on network television and sometimes are cancelled after a few episodes, due to the content and more largely to the ratings if they aren't high enough to please the network. fingers_crossed_tone2 though that at least we get a full season.

I really hope so too.

Who said anything about "remotely adult content?" I was expecting a Grimm replacement, and that's what I got.

Exactly. I don't need a bunch of gore and sex to enjoy this show.

Ep. two was good as well, and I have hope for this show -- and thank god that stupid bitch got herself killed!

Yeah I have have to agree smile. She hoped that by putting Bobo with the other Sons of Lucifer members he'd get beaten up and thereby would give them answers, instead Bobo beat them up and got them sent to the hospital. Plus she was such on idiot to go inside a locked cellar without any backup. Instead of leaving well enough alone she became weretiger chow.

I feel bad for Livingston, I bet the Sons of Lucifer are going to blame it on the Midnight folks and start a human war, on top of the supernatural one that's already brewing based on Joe's prophecy.

Joe might have his hands full now being Manny's guardian angel. Can't have anything bad happen to their savior. I bet Chuy won't be too happy about that though... But we all knew he wasn't going to let those wings stay retired, right?

Yeah I agree, Chuy should've guessed that sooner or later Joe was going to have to break out the wings. Now with this threat being eminent on both fronts, you can bet we'll be seeing Joe break out the wings more often.

no. it's actually possibly benefited by being on network television because more recent shows on networks like hbo trade quality plot/drama/dialogue for gore/sex/language. Additionally, because they are ratings-based, they may actually produce enough episodes to flesh out a story.

Also, there have been many 'adult' shows on network television networks, including NBC, that are highly regarded. see, top nbc shows of all time, top abc, cbs, etc.

Not many fantasy shows, though there's certainly potential, given the source material.

Network television (especially NBC, ABC, and CBS) has been known to and will give a show the ax in a heartbeat - that's why I don't think it's a benefit.

That is very true, I've seen really great all-around shows get axed mid-season because the ratings weren't high enough to please the execs. Some execs just wait until the season is over before they cancel it which sucks even more since some end on cliffhangers and we never get to know what happened.
