There was a moment there when I was questioning his age and started to try to figure it out, but then I decided it wasn't worth the brain power. It may or may not make sense, but I am trying to let things go in life starting with tv show inaccuracies.

Eli's birth date was the same as the Texas Republic (March 2, 1836) so he is 79 years old. Exceptionally good health for an 80 year old, but not without precedent: Deshaun Wang
