I can see why the Liberal Television Critics are trashing this series so badly. Man character is a real man, not a beta male Judd Apatow style nancy. And the show contrasts him with his less manly (but still manly by Liberal TV Standards) son whose soft attitude is proven to stupid and dangerous on numerous occasions.

Well that explains it, I was wondering why it got such low ratings and reviews. The war against white males and traditional values rages on. I thought it looked good from the trailers, will definitely check it out when I have time.

It was just renewed for a second season. I think this series is going to be a lot like Bluebloods or Longmire in that it will be a highly successful show that the media never talks about. BTW- this past episode was the first of the season that I thought was a little boring and bleh (perhaps because Pierce Brosnan's character was barely in it).

Never was a Westerns fan, used to watch them as a child with my dad (who was a fan), but I am really enjoying this series. Glad to hear it has been renewed. Loving the juxtaposition of past and present and finding the topic of white children/settlers kidnapped by Native Americans really interesting. There doesn't seem to be a lot written about it (nonfiction) that I've been able to find in the past.
Okay, as long as I'm gushing over this show, let me just say that Pierce Brosnan is looking good and the costuming is really beautiful, especially the outfits worn by the Garcia women. I think it (the costuming) might be Emmy worthy.
