Discuss Star Trek: Discovery

Its been 12 years since our last episode, maybe give it a break?... a chance? You lot keep jumping on the nearest band-wagon and get perfectly good shows cancelled. I enjoyed it, special effects and cast were great. Looking forward to the next episode, that's right, next episode, Star Trek has always been about individual stories and should be judged as a body of work.

And now that its been seen for the travesty it is whats your opinion?

I still enjoyed the series, the story, the crew, the action. Some great twists. There's a lack of original sci-fi out there so I welcome something old school.

Discovery needs to be officially rebooted or classed as a different cannon like Kelvin timeline, could easily be explained away with the dimension jumping starship.

I like the idea of wiping the slate clean, doesn't diminish the body of work that is already out there. The problem with continually adding to an already bloated timeline, especially with prequels is you tread on established toes and upset fans and purists (that's when you risk diminishing the body of work).

I will be watching series 2. . . I suspect you will to 👍😀

naw gave up on this crap after a few episodes sick of SJW taking over Sci Fi

Seen a couple of comments referencing SJW , really not something I let bother me if I'm honest.

Well considering it has ruined Ghostbuster, Star wars and Star Trek it should be a concern, don't they realize that these SJW's dont even like or pay for sci fi

No they don't, mostly. But they'll still attack it if they think it's "wrong."
