Did they give a slight reference to Wolverine?

When Admiral Fukyama took off his helmet, his face looked scared as if he were in a fight, and the scarring somewhat resembled Wolverine strikes across his face. It makes me wonder if he had a run in with Wolverine at some point in his past, we do know that Wolverine spent some time in Japan and it is a nod to the character.

Not sure however they did mention "The Professor". When Oliver/Farouk went to the old lady's place, she asked about The Professor.

There have been few references to Professor X throughout the series, they did a lot last season, my problem is that they never mention him by name, my guess is that they don't want to connect it to the X-Men universe and want this to be a stand alone series. I am curious to see what happens after the merger.
