Discuss Legion

Let's keep it going people. Episode 8.

Wow. Just wow. Very rarely will a show literally leave me jaw dropped, but they did it. It was truly television craft at its best. Not the best episode of the season.

It did meander a little bit. And a lot of it was setting up for season two, but an ok episode of legion is still great. Add the fact that we did get some resulution. I can live with the cliffhanger-ish ending given how excited I am for next year.

Aubry plaza: if she doesn't get an award for this performance, it will be a crime. I always liked her since parks and rec, mostly because shes cute and has big eyes. But she has been able to show she has real acting chops. Would love to have seen her energy on set.

MAKE SURE YOU WATCH UNTIL THE END. Looks like fx is doing those annoying mid credit stingers, so I'm willing to bet a lot of people didn't see the little 30 second sequence after the credits roll. I hate that they do this. I watched shameless for years until I learned I was missing the mid credit clips.

Contains spoilers even though I take for granted you've seen the episode.

I was just turning the TV off as David got ball-napped, talk about almost missing an important cliffhanger! That's a big no-no in my opinion, not a lot of people watch the credits. Loved the season but do you think the next one will be about the team going out into the world fighting crime and bad guys? Haven't read the comics. I really want to see David in action.

I can honestly say as far as I'm concerned, theres no telling what will be in store for next season. Will the shadow king be thwarted quickly and they move on to other villians? Will she/he/it remain the main antagonist? Will they try to strike a balance between the two? Personally I worry it could get stale if it's just another season of the shadow king. But after such a strong first season. I have faith in the crew to come up with something good. I have also not read the comics and I'm going to keep it that way for now. I'm pretty sure they played with the source material a lot here but I still feel reading the walking dead comics diminished my enjoyment of the show.

I eneoyed this season yes my mind was F!@#$D every episode it seemed, cant wait for next year!!!! I also LOVED Aubrey in this she is one of my favorite actresses and her character in this was WOW.

When I read this yesterday, I wondered what you meant by "ball-napped" laughing I re watched- perfect description.

True. Some movies have taught me to stick around for the credits, but I wasn't expecting it from a TV show.

I hope so.

Haven't read the comics.

Me either.

I really want to see David in action.

Me too.

I totally agree. two_hearts this show, even though I don't always 'get' everything.

Question: Has Lenny always been The Shadow King/Farouk? Or did the Shadow King take over the Lenny personality after Syd 'killed' her?

The moment I read "ball-napped" (did you mean to say ball-nabbed?) I had to stop go back to Hulu and finished the credits. Geez now TV is doing it. I wander how many of those I've missed? Anyhow what a great ep. I loved when he stacked the Division team up like Jenga. Every scene with Aubrey was chilling, awesome acting.

Yeah when I heard about that scene I turned my directtv box and played it again. OMG Aubrey was so awesome this season!!!!! She was creepy and cool at the same time, her scenes this episode were great.

The duex ex machina was a bit much. They couldn't think of any other scenario to get them out of that jam, so he basically just grabs the bullets in mid air? Um...........

Other than that, the cinematography, scenery, style of image and everything technical about movie making is great about this show. It's really a lot like Mr. Robot on USA when you see the visual style the directors like to use. And they are different, casting from different genres and era's of video making and then modernizing it for these two shows.

Other than that, the story telling has been pretty interesting. I'm not aware of what happened in the comics and read a few spoilers here and there. From what I know, they are some what following the comics?

One other thing that bothers me is the pace of each scene sequence. I've noticed a lack of patience when I watch a character "move" around waiting for the shock or moment of the scene to occur. It's slow paced, much like Breaking Bad, where they use long shots over time, rather than short, choppy scene sequence. But that is the style of directing, and other than that, this show is pretty interesting. I will be watching season 2.
