Discuss Legion

I thought we could have a thread for each episode, since there is such a vast amount of stuff in each one, we could throw all the questions and impressions and stuff here.

Have to rewatch, but from the top of my head - where are the feet? In the 1st episode when Syd comes to David's room her feet are not seen, in the last episode, when the events are reversed in the re-created mental hospital by David, his feet are invisible too. They made quite the point of showing it. Why?

Why didn't they let Kissinger out? Or did i miss something?

Ha, replying on my own thread, but it's so empty here, i might as well. My sig on imdb used to be smthng. like I am the only one that exists. Might be true after all!

Anyways, i think i might have figured out the missing feet scene. I didn't like the idea that Syd might be another one of David's "demons", but then, the feet..... what to do about the missing feet, 2x!!!!

Might be Anima - Animus situation with those two. Their whole relationship, how it evolved, would make total sense then. And the feet. I'd be fine with that. That's actually what i was reminded of constantly watching them, it was a very comforting, pleasant, familiar feeling. Whenever i have Anima-Animus dream, it all goes down very, very similarly

I'm not sure there's any significance with the missing feet, but I could be wrong. There's so much happening in every episode that I don't know what's significant and what just a stylistic choice.

Leaving Kissinger behind made sense to me because they weren't looking for him. They were there for David and David went there for his sister.

What I'd like to know is if they were all trapped in some sort of astral plane, which is how Melanie's husband was able to help them? I'm curious how the next episode will play out since the yellow eyed demon has completely taken over David.

I noticed the feet the 1st time around already, and when they were not there the 2nd time... i'm definitely sure it means something. In fact, that's one of the main reasons why i wouldn't call Legion "lynchian" like some do. With Lynch, most things if not all, definitely don't have any kind of meaningful source, "reason" behind them. He's just trolling people i think.

Here though, as seemingly jumbled, all over the place and chock-full of weird imagery this show is, everything has a cause and a reason. Even an "explanation", if we want to call it that, though probably not a verbal one.

Leaving Kissinger behind made since to me because they weren't looking for him. They were there for David and David went there for his sister.

Still very mean though, no?

You're probably right, but I don't know what the significance would be.

Haha, yeah it was mean, but I laughed.

relaxed I like people laughing about mean stuff.

I think they just left him because he was trying to act like hannibal lecter behind the glass or something.

I'm really enjoying the ride this show has its audience on. I like how some new things come to light with each episode. In this most recent ep, I liked how David's alter ego was the British side of the actor (can't remember his name). I also like how together, they worked through why and what things are. I'm disappointed that there's only one ep left to the season and also sorry that some have decided to give it up already. To each their own.

Only 1??? disappointed I didn't know that! And i was just getting excited. Ah, well.... Better Call Saul is coming and Leftovers and Fargo.

But no one could have seriously expected that most of those who started watching won't give it up after a few episodes. This one REALLY isn't for everyone. I'm quite shocked it even got renewed!

Only 1? I'm just as surprised as you, I had no idea. Idk, I'm not fully on board with Legion, to me it seems they took so long revolving around the same theme, like they were just testing the waters before going deep into the plot...but I keep coming back to watch and see where it goes. The visuals & soundtrack got me hooked from the start and Aubrey Plaza is so much fun to watch, I think she totally stole the show. Jemaine Clement too.

I totally agree. It has been one of my favorites from the beginning even though I didn't always 'get' it.

I really enjoyed that too, love the humor of the show-the whole episode was great , loved when the SK crumbled evil dude up like a piece of paper.

I also like how together, they worked through why and what things are.

Yes things are becoming more coherent now, because that astro plane episode had me wondering if I should be 'smoking the frog'.

I'm disappointed that there's only one ep left to the season...

I did not realize this

Oh, yes! And Clement is always a treat! I think he is one of those actors whom i could watch in just about anything. relaxed

Are women still into free love and all?...Do they still not wear bras?
No...bras are back in.
LOL

Im sad to say I missed whatever feet part you're talking about. Both times! Given that I didn't have imdb to discuss and was too bitter to give this site a shot. Glad to see threads about things im watching again! As far as the missed foot reference, it must mean something. Noah Hawley is very deliberate.

Well, now that you've gotten over your bitterness, I'm glad you're here! Welcome relaxed

I missed the feet part both times as well and I've watched each ep multiple times!

Tonight's ep is very interesting. No spoilers!!!! I'm going to miss this until its second season!
