Secondly, this show just flat out sucks- after 6 freakin episodes of basically the exact same what-the-hell-is-real or not nonsense. SIX EPISODES!! I agree with the guy who wrote that article- this has just gone on way too long and for that reason, I shut it off 2/3 the way through ep 6. Screw this crapola!

To reply directly to a specific person click on the "Quote" at the bottom of their comment box.

Ok thanks Scorpion, that takes care of one thing. Now for the fact that it appears I receive a new email every time there is a response to this thread, even for those not responding to me. That needs to change immeeeediately.

You are very welcome. Yes there is that, but I like it it keeps one up to date to _every _response.You may want to reply to a reply that was not a reply to you. I think it's just a way to join in and get more posts on the board.

I came here from IMDB and in the 12 years I posted there (even though I read way more than I posted), I never knew when I got a reply unless I could remember which posts I had replied in.

You could also unsubscribe from the thread and just check back to see if a reply was specifically to you.

Ummm, that doesn't sound right. I was on IMDB since it's inception (still feel a pretty real void from the loss of the discussion boards) and I specifically received an email each and every time someone responded directly to me. If this mirroring site is smart, they would emulate as much about IMDB's style as possible. 250 million monthly users- no need to change the wheel in any way. Put these boards in nest form, let us know when someone responds to just our post, and make it easy to highlight someone's quote you're responding to without having to put quotation marks. Hopefully they get it all together in due time.

I think it is all taking place in reality, more or less and in Davids mind. I love how they managed to depict goings on in his mind, such a difficult thing to pull off!

I will grudgingly admit I miss IMDB boards too, but no I never did receive an email notice of a reply to me. Yes, hopefully things will improve here.

Yea I always got a message to all replies directed to me for the ten years I was on it and I find this format messy and it definitely needs some work if they want to be the top of the heap. As to your post before the one quoted about the state of this show, I agree completely at this point 6 eps into an 8 ep season, this crap is officially unredeemable. I'm so sick of their random BS and anyone who's enjoying it , well they're entitled to it, but I can't for the life of me imagine why they do so at this precise point, 6 episodes in. Initially I really liked it, but now I really loathe it and the jackazz's that made it, they are insulting their viewers/fans(however many are left when the season ends). That's just my personal sentiment though, as I said if you love it great, I'm jealous, I rarely find shows I love.

On imdb you had to acknowledge wanting to receive em for thread updates .... in your profile or account settings .. I think

Thrill Killz, please don't be alarmed, but I think you might be my movie/tv/(and maybe commercial??) review soulmate. While reading your response, I had to keep rechecking the thread to make sure I wasn't reading my own quote (for real). Not just your take on the show, but the even the language and tone used (admittedly, I can often be a bit more "colorful" in my expression of dissatisfaction, but still..). And you may think I'm an insane person, but for the first time in my 15 years of rockin' comment boards like these, I think we should exchange emails as a way to entertain ourselves regarding shows, movies, or commercials we've seen.

That's really too bad that you guys aren't finding yourselves entertained...is it that you have an idea where the show is supposed to go, or are you as blind as the rest of us that have long since stopped reading comic books? Because I'm not one for being jerked around either, but IMO its been a ball so far in just being along for the ride with this show, regardless of where we may be going. My guess is that...and spoilers here....things will start moving in a much more linear direction after they get that...whatever it is, out of guy's head. I mean, that's pretty much been the point so far, hasn't it? Trying and failing to get to a place of cohesion...hasn't that been the point for the protagonist thus far? I'm just surprised to see such disappointment, I guess...eh, I'll check out that review and see if maybe I shouldn't be more unsatisfied lol

I always got e-mail notifications from IMDB for replies to my comments as well. And whenever I clicked on them, I was immediately taken to the reply perfectly nested. In fact I used to lament the fact that other message boards (like Youtube/Google) right now, still haven't got that right.

I'm pretty sure you just didn't click the "send e-mail notifications" option in your IMDB account settings.
