Split vs Legion (spoilers)

Interesting that this show and Split came out about the same time. Both deal with protagonists that get their superpowers from the their Multiple Personality Disorder. One is clearly a super villain, while the other is an anti hero. James McAvoy is Charles Xavier, David Haller's(Dan Stevens) biological father.

"The Horde"(oops edit) from Split would literally get turned inside out by David. He could like demolecularize his ass,lol.

I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence. His name "the Horde" is also extremely similar to Legion. And Legion is kind of a villain isn't he? At least I think he ends up that way.

I wouldn't be surprised if the writer/director got the idea from the Legion comics.
