I was screaming...yes! Good for you Randall!

I can't believe his boss sent him a box of damn pears, that he's freaking allergic to. And, called him in to work after his father's death.

Yeah, he needed to leave that job. William really rubbed off on him.

Yes!! ALL of this! and when Randall said (paraphrasing) 'You knew I was allergic to them because I went into A.shock when we were at that party!' Wow what a dick boss. But did he call him in? I thought Randall went there on his own.

The mailman showed more sympathy , and I lost it sob when it was revealed that he knew William from his neighborhood walks and actually loved him too.

Epic scene!!!!!I especially loved how exhausted his colleagues were, especially his new partner LOL. Randall looked fresh and energized while his office mates looked beaten down. Receiving that austere card, and the thoughtless gift tells you how cold that company is, and how people are taken advantage of. I am thrilled that he made that move, but now I wonder what's in store for him. He's not exactly going to get a severance package LOL.

@ScorpionQ2 @autumnsquirrel: Yeah. I think they did call him. Which is why Randall took offense. His boss was relieved when he showed up.

I wouldn't worry about a severance. Knowing Randall...he got his sh*it covered.

When asked by his boss, what are you going to do? I wanted him to say...I may start with a leisurely drive with the windows down and my music cranked up. However, his reply was equally sweet.

I missed that part.

Agreed.

I was so hoping he would say that, and right now, I can't remember what he said instead. But the homage to William would've been great.

I agree and I'm glad that he quit his job, he was much better off not working for a company that didn't value his hard work or him in general. I don't see him having trouble finding new work and I agree that he might start to follow William's advice and do things that he enjoys.

I was hoping he'd say he was starting his own firm. Or joining a rival firm.

That would be cool too. But I think we all want Randall to just chill for awhile and have some fun. Can I get a Amen?

Maybe he does both.

@WalkGood:

I actually think that Randall would kill it! Meaning he would be a badass at running his own company. Beyond successful and really good and loyal to his employees.

So I do agree. I just want him to connect to the joys in life first.

Yeah I agree that he would be great at running his own company, but wants to connect with the joys in life before doing so. He might take the time to pursue things he'd wished he'd done before starting a family.

I think he said he was going to take walks instead of running, and get to know the mailman, something to that effect <3

You nailed it.

Amen! And considering he basically grew his previous firm into what it is now, I'm sure if he decided to start his own, he'd have no trouble making it successful.

What kind of company sends a box of pears to anyone? Let alone a grieving family. I also thought it was strange that Randall ate pears during his job interview, knowing that he was allergic. Unless his meal had been ordered for him? The pear allergy was a bit of overkill. But it was still a cool moment. I felt the same way when I quit my job.
