I'm up to Ep 8 and I am LOVING this show. Great acting, moody sets, its even creepy! Feels like the GOOD sequels we SHOULD'VE had that we NEVER got!

Totally agree! I loved the first season, and hope we get another. It was really well done.

Just finished it, the last 2 episodes were powerful. Strongest Exorcism scene in the series since the original Movie's! It had a GOOD ending if it doesn't get renewed, but I really do wanna see the further adventures of the 2 priests. They're SUCH good actors!

I'm actually starting to miss it. I really liked the two priest characters, I thought they played off each other very well.

It was renewed for season 2. I've only watched the first episode and I was surprised how good it is. I had previously watched the Omen TV series and I thought it was OK. The omen got better towards the end but the network still cancelled it due to poor ratings.

Looks like its gonna have a cast shake up...according to tvseriesfinale.com:
It seems that season two of The Exorcist will reunite Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, and Kurt Egyiawan for a new case of possession. Unfortunately, that means the Rance family — Geena Davis, Alan Ruck, Hannah Kasulka, and Brianne Howey — won’t be appearing in the FOX series next season.
While they could make a guest appearance, executive producer Jeremy Slater says the Rance family storyline is finished. Earlier, he told Deadline that his aim with season one was “to tell a story with a beginning, a middle and an end and that story was the possession of the Rance family.”
However, he did add: “That doesn’t mean we won’t see the Rance family again.”

Personally I'm fine with this. The priests are what made the show for me!

Sounds good to me. It makes sense that the Rance family is safe now. No need for more stories.

I haven't started season 2 yet but I thought season 1 got a little ridiculous towards the end. It was still overall not bad for a basic channel TV show. The production values look high. A lot of the shows on ABC are really campy and cheesy such as the inhumans. I couldn't even finish the first episode.

I don't want to spoil but season 1 will tie in with season 2. And yes the ending of season 1 got a bit cliche and easy to defeat the demon but overall it was great. Marcus took care of the pope situation while Tomas took down the demon by himself unlike the beginning of the season where he was too green. And the show is on Fox. Season 2 has been great so far.
