Question to people who watches MacGyver 2016/2017

Have you ever seen seen original 1985 MacGyver ?
What you like about 2016/17 ? What you dislike about 2016/17 ?
What you liked more about original 1985 ? What you disliked more in original 1985 ?
I couldn't watch more than 3 episodes of new one, so now i am asking because there is now 18 episodes so is it improved or is still not for old fans ?Btw I am not even hardcore Mac fan !?

The original is much better. The improvising was very creative and I learned a lot from it, even tried out some of the ideas. The characters were more sympathetic and I could relate to them.
This new show is like a reboot. Some names are the same (Thornton, Jack, Nikki), but not the characters. There seems to be more action, everyone can fight, but I don't know what to think about the improvising. In another thread I mentioned some of the things MacGyver did in an episode, and the last one should probably have had a warning sign "Don't try this at home"
I can enjoy both shows as long as I don't start looking at every detail and comparing them to each other: "The original MacGyver never did this. This is just a pale imitation of the original."

The new MacGyver is just another super spy Bond type series. Totally opposite to what the original was

The new one is good, but I think the writers believe little girls are all Ninja warriors.
