Dylan miscast as lead?

I've seen him in other things but in this he just bugs the shit out of me. His facial expression is always confused looking by everything taking place around him. He drags down an interesting show. And he's always by himself, so a bit of a loner thing going on.

I thought he was great. The character was in a very confusing situation listening to tapes from a dead person and finding out there was a lot going on that he knew nothing about.
