Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

Sorry, but the Hathaway's nacelles wouldn't light up like that unless the warp drive was active. We know that especially from the "Eye Of The Beholder" episode where we see what goes on inside them. The light comes as a result of the matter/anti-matter reactor(s) feeding into the nacelles.

There was also no reason for the non-warp shuttles to light up like that.

You should watch an episode for what it is not dissect them.

I do. But I also notice the flaws.

just try not to think about It too much

My main point is always that there's really no additional cost or production time required to get these things right.

Well things might slip through the cracks when one is (or use to be) on a five-six day shooting schedule certainly in the days of syndication.
